Colorado Vacay Part I

I can't believe half of our vacation is gone already! We have been busy busy the past week and a half. We drove to Colorado Springs, spent the night with my parents, and then came the rest of the way to Montrose. On Sunday we went to church and had lunch with some friends and then saw Aaron's aunt, uncle, and cousin who live in Grand Junction. The next part of the week we spent in Montrose with Aaron's grandma, mom, and uncle. We went on a picnic in Cedaredge and saw Aaron's sister's new place they are renting. This little park in Cedaredge was so pretty. Maddy loved playing in the creek and looking at all the trees. She also had a good time hanging out with everyone. The cold water didn't seem to phase her. Grams had a supply of ice cream bars in her freezer. Maddy enjoyed chowing down on one of those. We got lots of practice in her stander and she is doing really awesome in it now. It was really hot the first few days we were here so we got out the pool for th

crazy busy busy crazies

Whew! Where to start........we went blueberry picking in Brownsboro, TX today. It is over in the Tyler area so about a 2 hour drive. We went with some of our friends from church. I picked maybe a quart of blueberries. The first row I only filled a scanty half bucket. Then I found three jackpot bushes to fill the rest of my basket up. They were $7 which I felt was a little over priced after I did all that work, but I did all that work so....I paid it. I will make a yummy blueberry scone soon. Maddy was a big blueberry fan. This is not a very good picture of her but you can see the blueberry on her face. My basket full of blueberries. The big event of the week is that Maddy got her wheeled stander from Scottish Rite on Friday. At first she did not know what she though about it. She cried quite a bit but we got her all fitted and she got some new tennies even. They are size 4. When you get to see her wearing them you will laugh. She looks like a miniature Clydesdale. She is just now fitti

Fab 4th!

We had a great and fun filled 4th weekend. On Friday night some of Aaron's students came over to play games and have snacks. On Saturday Aaron, Tricia, Maddy and I went to see the Kaboom Town fireworks display in Addison. It was probably the best fireworks show I've ever been to. We got there about 5:30 planning to eat a picnic lunch in the park. Well it decided to rain on us. Aaron, Maddy, and I got soaked before we made it back to the parking garage. We ate our picnic on blankets in the parking garage and played Yatzee and Phase 10 until it stopped raining. Then we went to the park and found a spot to watch the fireworks. It was so nice outside. I was cold. I had to borrow a sweater from Tricia. Bet there won't be 4th like that in Dallas again for a long time. On Sunday our church had a picnic lunch in the basement. Dickies BBQ was catered and then everyone brought cookies and ice cream. Tricia, Rachel, and Georgia joined us for that. Maddy and Georgia had fun playing tog
