Maddy with her aerobics instructor

I really have nothing to post, but this cracked me up and I thought it was so cute I had to pass it on. Sorry it is sideways. I keep forgetting which way is up on the phone camera. Every morning the first thing we do when Maddy gets up is change her diaper. Lately she's gotten into the habit of picking a stuffed animal off her shelf to hang out with her while she's getting her diaper changed. We'll this morning she picked the one in the video. It was a toy she got at Scottish Rite on one of her first visits so she hasn't really been able to appreciate it until now. Hope this makes you smile!

Cousin Fest!

This week was cousin fest in Denver. Maddy and I got to go see Bethany and my sister Cindy and my brother in law Brad for a few days. My parents came up yesterday as well so it was a great time. Bethany is a sweet, sweet baby. We didn't do much, but that was fine with me. I've been to busy lately and it was nice to relax and just enjoy some time with the family and with the girls. We went on walks, sat outside in the beautiful autumn weather, watched some Rangers games, and played with babies. It was so neat to see what a great mom my sister is and to know that Bethany has great parents who are going to do the best job they can to take care of her and teach her what she needs to know. I am so excited to see her again in a couple months at Christmas. Here are a few pictures from the trip: Bethany was amazing at tummy time! This girl is going to be crawling before we know it. Maddy was showing Bethany where her toes were. Love the expression on Cindy's face. :) Bethany's

18 month check up

Maddy got her 18 month check up today. I always dread those because it seems that the doc always has something bad to say but he seemed very satisfied with how she is doing. She was 15lb 4oz and 29 and 3/8 in. So she has grown. Her height and head size are on a good curve so I think with it being that way consistently he really is starting to think that her weight is just her and maybe due to lack of muscle tone due to her arthrogryposis. He also made Aaron's day because he said he thought her intelligence was above average for her age. She was showing the doc all her body parts (eyes, mouth, toes, etc.) and he was pretty impressed with that. Anyhow, just wanted to thank everyone for all the prayers for Maddy. Say a prayer of praise for a good report today and keep praying for us!

Fair Fun

We had waaaaaaaayyyyy to much fair fun this year. Last Sunday afternoon Aaron's Dad and Anna rode into town in their fifth wheel camper with Spanky, Beebop, Keough, and Piper (their 4 dogs :)). They were able to park their camper in the field behind our house so it worked out really well. On Sunday night we ate at Babe's Chicken (yum!). On Monday Aaron took his day off for fall break and we went to the State Fair. I really enjoyed this trip to the fair because the crowd was very thin and Steve and Anna had never been to the fair before. It always makes it more fun to go with people who haven't been. We saw the dog show, pig races, bird show (which Aaron's Dad really enjoyed), looked at the Grand Prize winning animals, cotton bales and bowls in the food and fiber building (which they were really interested in because cotton is not a Colorado crop obviously), the butter sculpture in the craft building, and of course we ate lots of fair food. We tried the Fried Frito Pie w
