Bookshelf Aaron made for me. We converted the useless space wasted by this ledge in our dining room to a bookshelf. I love it! It was my Mother's Day gift from Aaron. I have some boxes of books I need to dig out from under the stairs and see what other books I'd like to put out.
Arrggg! wrong order! This is the flowerbed we made on Saturday. It turned out great.
Maddy helping out.
Planting the flowers
Putting in the dirt and weed blocker.
Weed blocker on bottom of bed before putting dirt in. I put on sunscreen twice and still got burnt on my shoulders. Anyone know if there is such a thing as SPF 500?
My Mother's Day gift from Maddy.
Playing in the laundry basket. Now if I can only teach her how to run the washer and dryer and fold everything!
Faking a drink from the sippy. Don't know what we are going to do to teach her how to use one of these.
Hanging out under the crepe myrtle and watching us work.
They gave us these hats for Mother's Day at church. It is supposed to be a decoration but I think it makes a great dress up item for Maddy. Well, at least it will when she gets older. This is about as happy as I could get her to look with the hat on. The rest of the time she was crying and ripping it off but she looked so cute in it!
Papa and Maddy reading a book. Still shocks me how much this girl loves her books.
As promised "Mud Me" from the Warrior Dash.
May has been insane already. I know I've said that a few times but it has gotten even crazier and this week is the worst. Maddy has four appointments, Aaron is giving finals, I have my last night in class, we have a church camping trip on Friday, I am going to Jenna's brunch and shower in Ft. Worth on Saturday, and on Sunday we're going to a students graduation reception and Aaron has graduations all day Thursday and Friday and he's doing a sprint triathlon on Sunday. You know the week is busy when Aaron says "I hope rock climbing gets canceled". That was supposed to be tonight.

She looks so cute in that hat.
I can't believe our kids love hearing the same books over and over and never get tired of them. Glad to see Maddy likes hers too.
