Most inexcusable anyway. I feel so bad that Kelsay is 3 months old and I haven't written one post about her since she was born. Since the blog is basically the baby book for both my kids I need to get on the ball. Maddy's paper baby book is pretty lean but Kelsay's has 0 so far written down, so I need to get some stuff recorded electronically for her.
Kelsay has been a great baby. After we worked through all the issues at the beginning she has been the sweetest, laid back, smilingest baby. So far she has only been inconsolably upset twice. Once at her 2 month appointment at the doctor's office and yesterday at church when she got mad about something in the nursery.
Speaking of her 2 month appointment, she weighed 11 lbs 3 oz and was 22.5 inches long (50th% on everything). Maddy had her 5 year check up and she was about 28 lbs and 3 ft tall (not on the chart). Kelsay is still dealing with reflux but seems to be getting better. I am trying to not give her her meds this week and see what happens. I would like to get her off them if possible. Right now she loves to play with her baby gym, swing, chew on stuffed animals and watch people especially her sister. She can hold her head up during tummy time but she hasn't learned to roll over yet. She is so close though. Everyday I think she is going to do it. She will get her back arched and push herself with her foot so she can see what is going on out of her line of vision but she just hasn't figured out how to give herself that extra little push to roll on over. Instead she just yells at whatever it is she wants to get.

Dogs got their yearly grooming. They look good right now. Abbey was being camera shy so I didn't get a picture of her. |

Maddy and Kelsay both love the fountains at DBU |
We have done so much stuff this month it is ridiculous. On the first Tammy had her yearly student art show at DBU. Maddy always loves going to that. This year she wore a dress that has paint on it (her painting dress) and brought some papers that she had drawn on and colored to the art show in a box. Kelsay was not impressed with the art show. Aaron and I mostly took turns letting her watch the fountains outside. She loved that.

Daddy reading "Brighty of the Grand Canyon" |
The day after the art show, Aaron's Grandma and Mom arrived to spend 10 days with us. Kim wanted to see where JFK got shot so we went to Dealey Plaza and toured the 6th floor museum. That was quite a feat with Kelsay but she mostly did great. It was more about my arms almost falling off from carrying around the museum while she was sleeping. We also went to the stockyards. Everyone really enjoyed that. I think it may have been most people's favorite day. They were having heritage days there when we went so there was a lot more going on than usual. They had bands playing, people from other forts with heirloom guns and other items to display, and a few vendors. We also watched the cattle drive, watched the Grapevine Train come in and depart, and looked around at the shops. Maddy got ice cream so she was a happy camper. She also had a snow cone that day. And some candy that Grandma gave her.......Yeah a little over board that day, but Grandma doesn't come to town everyday.

Where JFK was shot |
Maddy had a lot of end of school activities going on while they were here so they got to see her music recital at school and her dance recital. I will put some pics and videos of that in a separate blog as well as more pictures of Kelsay as I know everyone is really wanting to see more pics of her.
Last week was finals and graduation for Aaron, plus went to NY for a day and Maddy had a stomach bug. This week he is teaching a May mini. So yeah. Maybe my blogging hiatus has been pretty excusable after all. I do promise my few faithful readers that I'll try to post more videos and pictures, etc. very soon.
