DAD |
On Sunday, Maddy got the presents she'd been hiding in her room and brought them out first thing in the morning. She made Dad a tie and the paper below at her Tues./Thurs program at the rec center. You may have to click on the picture below to enlarge what she said about her dad. It is worth the read. I laughed so hard I cried the first time I read it.
We went to church, came home and grilled burgers and had a fun day relaxing and playing games.
Though it looks like this was a bad picture of A and K it is actually supposed to be a pic of the dinosaur prints in the creek. Behind them on the left. |
The garden is a tomato producing machine right now. We had a scare with a beetle invasion. They wiped out our beans and a couple of squash plants before we got diatomaceous earth to take care of the problem. It took a couple of days, but it worked wonders and kept us from having to use pesticide just as the tomatoes were starting to come on. We planted yellow tomatoes for the first time ever this year. They are good!
Below is a quick catch up on Kelsay from 1 to 4 months. Go to bottom and scroll up to see how she's grown! We had her 4 month check this week. She weighed 14 lbs 2 oz (50%-75%) and was 25 inches (75%-90%). Not sure where she got these big baby genes. He head was large for her age. She is also rolling from tummy to back and back to tummy. The doctor said that was a little early than normal. She loves other kids. She loves her sister. Everything Maddy does is highly entertaining and worthy of her full attention.
The other night we went to Olive Garden and their was a little boy (maybe about 2) at a table opposite us. She started smiling and cooing at him. Then he got bored and looked away. Immediate baby rage. She screamed and yelled at him in a way I have never seen before until he started paying attention to her again. As soon as he looked at her, instant smiles. We're a little fearful for her future personality. :)
The next event is the trip to Colorado, then to the family reunion, then to Minnesota for the AMC support convention, then back to Colorado, then home. Should be an exhausting trip, but we get to fly this time so I hope we won't start out the trip as tired as we normally do! Looking forward to it! See many of you soon!
