Vacation pictures pictures pictures!

It has been forever since I have posted. We have been on a great vacation. All of my pictures are backwards. Arrg! Anyway this is from Yesterday morning before we left Mema and Papa's. We made them our stop for the night between Colorado Springs and home. We got to eat supper with Brandon and Amanda and their foster kids.
This is the 20's theme night at my family reunion. Chef Brad made a wonderful meal with the help of all our family members that was composed of things that were served at the Waldorf Astoria and on the Titanic.
Maddy in her flapper costume. Isn't she precious?
Aaron was a moonshiner.
Tammy won the prize for best costume and Brittany was a very close second.
This is my cousin Chrissy's baby, Clayton. She and Maddy are checking each other out.
This is Caitlyn, my Dad's, cousin's daughter. She loves babies and constantly wanted to hold Maddy. She got her wish for a little bit.
Uncle EJ is still a little wierded out by Maddy but I think he is getting a little more comfortable holding her.
My sisters with Maddy. A great picture.
This is us in Yankee Boy Basin. This is the most beautiful place I have ever been. Aaron's Dad took us up here the day before we left to go to the reunion.
More Yankee Boy.
Aaron's Dad and Maddy.
It had just rained when we got up here so there were lots of waterfalls. Later it cleared off and was sunny so it was extra beautiful.
Yankee Boy is really famous for wildflowers.
This is the Gunnison River. Aaron's Dad's work has a cabin that people can stay in up by this river. There is also a cabin there where the person who watches the dam stays year round.
This is the pump house on the dam. We got to go inside of it. It was kind of scary.
This is Union Park, close to Taylor Park Resivoir which is the Resivoir where the dam is.
This is the graveyard in Tin Cup, a mining town close to Taylor park. It was very neat to walk around in it. People can actually still be buried here.
This is me and Maddy at Silver Jack where we went for an afternoon with Aaron's mom's side of the family.
Grams on her 80th birthday. We went swimming in Ouray and she went down the waterslide.
Four generation picture of Aaron's family.
Aaron, Maddy, and me at Ouray. Maddy loved swimming.
Four generation of me and A's family.
Maddy with the Fletcher cousins, Trenton and Kodi. We were at the Montrose county fair because Trenton showed a goat. Aaron wanted the pig in the picture but that didn't really work out.

Maddy in her hat. A little too big, but so cute!!!

It was a great vacation. We did so many things I can't even remember them all already. I am glad to be out of the car for awhile but I will really miss the grandparents getting to see Maddy and miss the cooler summer weather.

Getaway to Ticks Bend....I Mean Beavers Bend State Park

Back in April, we decided we needed to do a short family getaway after the semester was over. The last time we'd been on vacation just to vacation (not going to see family in CO) was when we went to San Antonio when Maddy was 3 months old. We found Beavers Bend State Park close to Broken Bow, OK and decided to go there. We booked a cabin in the state park and eagerly awaited the day we could take off for our getaway. We left on Sunday afternoon and stayed through Tuesday afternoon. It was short, but so fun and relaxing. We had no computer and no cell phones while we were up there. We just got to enjoy being around each other and the beautiful scenery.  We built a fire and roasted some marshmallows. Also popped some jiffy pop. Aaron had never done one of those before.  This is a 100 year old cabin they had at the visitor center. I like the mud chinking ( I think that's what it's called). A couple named Comma and Mabel lived in the cabin when the CCC was building t...

We Need Your Prayers

Many of you have probably heard all ready, but Aaron and I got some devastating news today. Our baby will probably not survive outside the womb. They did an amneostasis this afternoon to test for chromasomal defects, which is what they think it is right now. I know I am spelling everything wrong so I hope what I write makes enough sense for everyone to understand what is going on. The specialist we went to see feels that it is triploidy or triamias 18. Those may not be the right names but they are two of the three chromasomal defects. The other is down's syndrome. He did not feel that it was down's. The other two defects are fatal so if we carry the baby to term it will not live but for a few days or hours if one of the defects above is the problem. We will know in 2days. If it is not one of those then we will have to go to a cardiologist and a genetic counselor. The baby had clubbed hands and feel and it's heart is not formed correctly and is not in the right place. Becau...

Another Sonogram

We went to the high risk pregnancy doc today for another sonogram. This time he could see all four chambers of the heart, the pulmonary valve, etc. In his words it looked "dramatically better". He feels there is still some slight compression on the heart and that we need to continue watching it. As of now he cannot see anything that is causing it and the MRI did not see anything either. He also felt that the hands were okay. They are not clenched fists at least as he first thought, meaning that the fingers aren't overlapping each other. Her hands are still in fists and she won't open them but he said he has had other babies that have not opened their fist in the sonogram but the hands have been normal at birth, so we still have a lot of hope for those little hands. He was able to get a better look at the face today, no cleft palate, so that is a huge blessing. The feet are still concerning. They are definitely clubbed but she is also not moving them. She is moving her...
