Sunday, December 5th was the big day. I actually completed the greater portion of a new year's goal by running the Dallas White Rock Half Marathon. My goal for 2010 was to run 3 half marathons, and to run on in 2 hrs or under. I did not quite complete my goal. I had a PR of 2:02:18 for the race. I was on track for under two for the first 7 miles. I ran them in 56 minutes but my lack of training started showing up after mile 7 when I got a cramp in my thigh and couldn't get it to go away until after mile 9. It was awful but I pushed through and finished the race. Aaron is a stud. He PR'd as well for his marathon. His time was 3:27:15!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our wonderful friends, the Hortons, from church let Maddy hang out with their family for most of the day so that Aaron and I could both run. A big thanks to them. Thanks to everyone who ran for Maddy and to TSRHC! Itwas a great day and I can't wait to do it again next year!

We just got to enjoy being around each other and the beautiful scenery. We built a fire and roasted some marshmallows. Also popped some jiffy pop. Aaron had never done one of those before. This is a 100 year old cabin they had at the visitor center. I like the mud chinking ( I think that's what it's called). A couple named Comma and Mabel lived in the cabin when the CCC was building t...
