It's been 9 years since we got married. Time flies. Especially when you're having fun. Here's so highlights of some great times we've had together over the last 9 years:
Year #1 (2003-04)---I graduated from York. We honeymooned at the Grand Canyon. Two weeks after we were married we moved to Ft. Collins for Aaron to start his Ph.D program.
Year #2 (2004-05) --We bought our first house. Spent our anniversary in Idaho Springs. Went skiing in Glenwood Springs a couple of times.
Year #3 (2005-06)-- Fishing craze. We camped and fished up at Red Feather Lakes many times. Great memories. I caught my first fish there.
Year #4 (2006-07)--Aaron graduated with his Ph.D from CSU.
Year #5 (2007-08)-- We hiked the Grand Canyon rim to rim, moved to Dallas, TX and vacationed in Big Bend National Park. We did an anniversary trip to Cripple Creek, CO.
Year #6 (2008-09)-- Aaron got a job at DBU as an Assistant Professor of Biology. Went to Black Canyon in Montrose. We got pregnant and I started my MA program at DBU. Maddy was born!
Year #7 (2009-10)-- I ran my first half marathon and Aaron ran his first marathon.
Year #8 (2010-11)--The year of running. I completed my New Year's resolution to run three half marathon's in one year (Cowtown, Ascent, White Rock). One of those halves was the Pike's Peak Ascent! I graduated with my MA from DBU and started teaching English there part-time. Aaron took a mission trip to Kenya.
Year #9 (2011-12)--Aaron went to Kenya again. We made the decision pursue an adoption in Ghana, Africa and are in the midst of paper work now. We took a family vacation in Broken Bow, OK. Maddy will start preschool in the fall.
This is just a sample of all the things that have gone one. There's no way I can remember and list all of the great times and adventures we've had with family and friends, the new people we've met, all the places we've gone, all the things we've experienced together. God has really blessed us to share some amazing experiences and times together.
