A picture Tam took of Maddy at DBU yesterday. |
I did the big group grading thing at DBU today. Actually it wasn't too bad. I felt like a total newbie but I think that I was pretty fair in how I assessed the papers I read. I had about 3 students that didn't pass. :( Fortunately I think their problems can be easily fixed and that if they do what I tell them, they will do well on the final. I'm glad I started in the Spring semester and had a light introduction to grading day.
This afternoon, we are going to try to hit the Grapevine Mills Mall on the way to the airport. THey are one of the few places I know in the metroplex that has an Auntie Anne's pretzels. This was a fave in Ft. Collins, but we rarely go here because it is so far away. Probably a good thing. I am looking forward to that almond pretzel. If we have time, I'll try to find Maddy some clothes for birthday gifts. They have a Carter's outlet so you can find some pretty good deals sometimes.
Hope you've enjoyed the 9 days of Kenya. I haven't enjoyed them, per se, but they have been good. I know Aaron will have a lot to tell and a lot that he has learned. My nine days here taught me that I can fix, do, accomplish a lot more than I think sometimes and that it sure is good to have Aaron around to help out.
